Brief: GEAG was awarded the “Momentum for Change 2013 Lighthouse Activity Award” by United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Through its “Community-Based Micro-Climate Resilience” initiative in Mahewa ward of Gorakhpur, GEAG promoted adaptation to climate change by designing and building new types of flood-resilient and affordable houses.
